Information Technology

I have real enthusiasm for information technology. I am currently studying for a computing degree at the Open University.

• Programming skills — I have undertaken programming courses as part of my degree in C++ and Java. I have a sound knowledge of the basics of both procedural and object orientated programming.
• Database design and SQL — Relational theory, data modelling, entity-relationships, normalization and SQL for retrieval, administration and programming.
• X/HTML hand coded and standards compliant.
• Advanced CSS including table-free layout.
• Hand coded JavaScript.
• PHP — intermediate skills.
• Digital imaging — indepth Photoshop, colour management and high end scanning/photography. I also run a photoblog.
• Advanced MS Office including VBA.

Communication

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills at all levels from presentations to senior management to working through a translator.
• Strong interpersonal skills proven in a large organization.
• Presentation and design flair.

Practical

• Highly experienced in museum object handling and movement.
• Practical workshop skills.
• Full UK driving licence + car owner.
• Trained in fork-lift truck operation.
